Prognostic factors:
In a metaanalysis [1], it has been found that the complete surgical
staging of borderline ovarian tumours (BOT) could improve the
relapse rate but does not affect overall survival, as reported previ-
ously by several authors. Ureyen et al. [2] suggested that surgical
staging gives an idea of recurrence probability but not of the survival
prognosis.
